Adrienne Gavula, Regional Office Director and Development Director for the ACLU of Ohio, will be available to students to discuss the establishment of an ACLU student organization among other opportunities on Feb. 14.

Students are encouraged to attend an open discussion with Gavula from 9-10:20 a.m. in Bentley Annex 102. Students are also invited to participate in an informal Meet & Greet in the Center for Law, Justice & Culture on the ground floor of Bentley Hall from 12-1:30 p.m. Free pizza will served.

There will be an informational meeting for the ACLU student organization on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 5-7 p.m. in Bentley 215

Gavula is a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She also participated in the Ohio University chapter of the ACLU as a student. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work from Ohio State University, is a licensed independent social worker, and serves as adjunct faculty at Ohio State. Prior to her work at the ACLU, Gavula served as associate director for the National Association of Social Workers Ohio Chapter and worked as a medical case manager at Columbus AIDS Task Force, where she helped improve clients’ quality of life through access to medical care, counseling, and housing.
