During summer semester, many students try to work on their foreign language requirement. This can happen at Ohio University or at another institution to be transferred back to OHIO. Some students find it quite beneficial to work on the language requirement in the summer as they can just focus on one subject. Often, an entire year of a foreign language can be completed in both summer sessions.
Ohio University offers plenty of summer courses in Spanish, French and Italian.
Should you decide to complete some or all of your foreign language requirement elsewhere, please be sure to follow the transient study procedures.
Fill out a Petition for Transient Student Course Approval.
Once the form is completed, submit it with a copy of the course description for each class planned. The paperwork can be dropped off in Wilson Hall on the college green, or can be sent electronically by email as an attachment to Kristi Conrad at conradk@ohio.edu.
