Science Cafe | The Constitution and How I Wrote It, Jan. 25

Science Café presents Rajko Grlic presenting “The Constitution and How I Wrote It” on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 5 p.m. in the Baker Center Front Room.

The film “The Constitution” began as a simple email exchange between two writers. But it snowballed into a three-year writing adventure that translated into $100,000 in prize money and Montreal Film Festival’s most prestigious award, the Grand Prize of the Americas. In large part, the writers’ success stems from developing a compelling story.

“It seems like everyone wants to be a script writer,” said Grlic, Ohio University Eminent Scholar in Film. “So let’s help them to develop characters, a story and the script for a film.”

In his Café Conversation, “The Constitution and How I Wrote It,” Grlic invites us to metaphorically come into his kitchen and see how he cooks his meals. Grlic will explore the methodology behind the process that he and his partner use for scriptwriting and story and character development.
