Harrington is Section Chair at SciX 2016, Named Editor of Investigative Forensic Science

Dr. Peter de B. Harrington, Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Ohio University, was the Chemometrics Section Chair for the SciX 2016 meeting, The Great Scientific Exchange, which is the second largest analytical conference in the United States. He organized six symposia for this meeting.

Harrington also been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Investigative Forensic Sciences, an international open-access, peer-reviewed scientific bimonthly journal that focuses on the broad spectrum of studies on basic and applied research methods, techniques, and technology that will advance forensic science pertaining to crime scene investigation. The journal emphasizes the notion of a contemporary approach to disseminating scientific and technical information and aspires to be a leading cutting edge medium that publishes latest research findings and current events shaping the field.

Harrington also is a keynote speaker at BIT’s 5th Annual Conference of AnalytiX 2017, which is March 22-24 in Fukuoka, Japan. AnalytiX-2017 is an international event focusing on the core knowledge and major advances in the ever-expanding field of analytical sciences and technologies, attracting experts on a global scale. The conference aims to stimulate new creative ideas to translate new discoveries into better practice and application.

And Harrington is one of four invited speakers at Chimiometrie 2017, held Jan. 30-Feb. 1 in France.
