Sustainability Film | How To Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can’t Change, Oct. 26

The Common Experience Project on Sustainability kicks off its fall film series with a reception and screening of “How To Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can’t Change” on Oct. 26 at the Athena Cinema.

The reception is from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by the film screening at 7 p.m.

Sustainability Studies theme logoThe Common Experience Project on Sustainability is an initiative developed by University College. Partners include Athena Cinema, Environmental Studies, Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, Alden Library, the College of Arts & Sciences: Sustainability Studies theme, Food Studies theme, Ohio Sense of Place and the Office of Sustainability.

The series pairs documentary films dealing with environmental issues with talk-backs, panel discussions and Q&As exploring solutions. Panels often feature students, faculty and community members and filmmakers to give the audience a wide range of perspectives on the topic of the film. Many of the documentaries are critically acclaimed and only available in select locations across the country.

This series has grown in popularity over the last few years with over 1,300 attendees to last year’s series. Tickets are free; however there are a limited number of seats available. The events also feature raffles with prizes from local businesses. All films start at 7 p.m.
