The Fire to iPhone theme hosts science writer Andrew Fazekas on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m. in Schoonover 145.
Fazekas, also known as “The Night Sky Guy,” is on a tour for National Geographic for his newest book “Star Trek The Official Guide to Our Universe: The True Science Behind the Starship Voyages.”
This event is hosted by the Fire to iPhone theme.
“Boldly go where no stargazer has gone before,” Fazekas writes about his new book. “As Star Trek celebrates its 50th anniversary, this book reveals the real science behind its fantastic and beloved fictions, inviting readers to step outside, gaze up at the night sky, and observe some of the destinations the Starfleet has visited”
After his presentation, Farekas will sign books and then will host star-gazing from the College Green.
