The Food Studies Theme closed out the academic year with a potluck on April 28 to celebrate with students and Food Studies theme seniors.

Despite the intermittent rain and wind, students and faculty gathered at the Plant Biology Learning Garden “circle garden” on the West State Street to share food and reminisce about a big year for the theme at Ohio University.

Dr. Theresa Moran, Director of the Food Studies theme, presented the four graduating seniors with awards acknowledging their accomplishments in the theme.

A new Food and Society Certificate awaits final approval from the Board of Trustees.

In the academic year 2015-16, six students completed the coursework and internship program that would be required to receive the new certificate: Anna Chleboun, Janice Brewer, David Doddridge, Megan Osika, Rachel Komich, and Chloe Graffeo are newly minted Ohio University graduates distinguished by their ground-breaking coursework in the field of food studies.
