Veteran Alum Joins Cleveland Firm as Bankruptcy Attorney

Ohio University alum, attorney and veteran Jason K. Wright joins Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA (WWR), a creditors’ rights firm now in its 85th year of client service, in its its Brooklyn Heights, OH, office, reports insideARM.com.

Wright, who earned a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Arts & Sciences, recently returned from a 12-month-long mobilization as a Major in the United States Army at Fort Hood, located in Killeen, TX.

He will focus his practice on achieving resolution on bankruptcy matters for the firm’s clients.

“We are thrilled to add Jason’s considerable litigation experience to our bankruptcy team, and I am confident that his addition will further enhance the high level of legal service our clients have come to expect from WWR,” said Scott Fink, Managing Partner of the firm’s Bankruptcy Group.

Jason was an attorney in WWR’s Litigation & Defense Group before he was deployed for this most recent tour of active military duty. Prior to that time, he spent several years working for a private practice in Central Ohio where he specialized in civil litigation and torts. Jason previously served in Iraq and Afghanistan: first, as an Administrative Law Attorney with the Multi-National Corps – Iraq Headquarters, at Camp Victory, Iraq, from February 2005 until February 2006; and later as a Contract and Fiscal Law Attorney with the 645th Regional Support Group at Kandahar Airfield, from April 2011 until April 2012. Along with other awards for his service, Jason is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.

Jason earned his B.A. from Ohio University in 1992, and his J.D., Order of the Curia, from Capital University Law School in 2000. Licensed in the State of Ohio, Jason is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern & Southern Districts of Ohio and for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
