PBIO 2170: Women in Science

PBIO 2170 Women in Science is a new course that fills Tier II credit in Cross-Cultural Perspectives in Ohio University’s General Education requirements. It also  can fulfill one elective requirement for the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Certificate.

It meets Tuesdays and Thursdays form 3:05-4:25 p.m. and is taught by Dr. Kim Thompson, Lecturer in Environmental & Plant Biology.

This course explores the lives and discoveries of women scientists worldwide from 1800 to the present. Students learn about historical and current trends for the sciences, science education, and society.
