OPIE Fall 2015 Picnic

More than 200 faculty, students, and friends of the Ohio Program of Intensive English enjoyed a beautiful, relaxing picnic at Stroud’s Run State Park on the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Picnic-goers had a chance to be on the water by using kayaks, canoes, and pontoon boats. A number of Japanese and Saudi students played volleyball on the sand courts next to the beach at Dow Lake. Other students enjoyed simply sitting and gazing at the peace scenery. Some of the children at the picnic cooled off during the hot afternoon by playing with water balloons. After eating a delicious dinner provided by Habibis on Court Street, participants returned to Ohio University via the charter bus or private vehicles. The Ohio Program of Intensive English annually hosts a summer and fall picnic to provide a chance for faculty, students, and friends to socialize in a relaxing, natural setting.
