Welcome back students! As this is the start of a new year, I’m dedicating this first tip to our new Bobcats.

This is an incredibly exciting and overwhelming time in your life, but I want you to know that we are a friendly bunch. To make your transition a little easier, I want to encourage you to make at least one new friend this week. Introduce yourself, keep your residence hall door open when you’re home, join an organization, be yourself, and GET OUT THERE.
Upperclass students, this goes for you, too! If you see first-year students, say hello, help them find a building on campus or ask if they want to hang out. Do the best you can to welcome your new peers. You’ll be seeing a lot of each other.
