Southern Ohio Port Authority Hires Ohio Political Science Alum

The Southern Ohio Port Authority voted to hire Ohio University alum Adam Phillips ’14M as Property and Asset Manager, reports the Portsmouth Daily Times.

The SOPA Asset and Property Manager is responsible for evaluating and categorizing site and building strengths and deficiencies, creating and implementing a site development plan, and managing development projects. The position works closely with the executive director to align opportunities with site and building strengths and to develop mitigation plans to address weaknesses and threats.

SOPA Executive Director Jason Kester said Phillips has a master’s degree in public administration, focusing on economic development, from Ohio University.

Phillips earned his master’s from the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University.
