ES 4900 Sustainability Implementation Practicum

(Wednesdays 3:05-6 p.m.) Taught by Dr. Natalie Kruse, the Sustainability Implementation Practicum, ES 4900 involves students in a critical analysis of the Ohio University Sustainability Plan and/or community-based projects that support the Ohio University Office of Sustainability’s mission and vision. Students engage directly in the exploration of contemporary activism, leadership, professionalism and local issues. Implementation of effective projects and feasibility studies to advance institutional sustainability efforts provide students the opportunity to make meaningful changes within their campus and community. This course’s focus allows students the opportunity to better define sustainability and the role it plays in their lives, to learn or enhance skills that will encourage sustainable behaviors, and to and make positive contributions to their personal health, the natural environment and the local community.
