Political Science Alum Named Coshocton County Health Commissioner

Ohio University alum Steve Lonsinger ’04M has been named the new Coshocton County Health Commissioner, reports the Conshocton Tribune.

Lonsinger earned a master’s degree from the Political Science Department in the College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio University.

Lonsinger will continue to retain responsibilities and duties as a registered sanitarian while also taking on the health commissioner post. Consolidating positions was seen as a cost saving measure by the health district board and allowed them to hire internally.

Lonsinger has a master’s degree in public administration from Ohio University. He’s been in the public health field as a sanitarian for 22 years and most recently served as the General Health District’s Director of Environmental Health.
