Sociology Fest: Advising and Cookies on Oct. 23

Thursday, Oct. 23, is Sociology Fest on the Ohio University Athens campus.

Drop-in advising time (with cookies) is 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. “It is time to revisit your planned courses for the coming semester, and either drop in, or schedule an advising meeting with your adviser,” says Dr. Howard Welser, Associate Professor of Sociology.

He advises students to come to prepared:

• DARS either printed or open on  your laptop
• Rough plan of courses you want to take next semester
• Clear understanding of where you are in your requirements (from reading your DARS combined with the standard course plansD
