Delgado-Costa Publishes ‘Imaginario de luna’

Dr. José “Pepo” Delgado-Costa, Associate Professor of Spanish at Ohio University, published Imaginario de luna in July.

A native son returns to Arecibo with the purpose of advancing an oral history project for the upcoming 500th anniversary of the foundation of the town. Before arriving he stops in Río Piedras where he has other matters pending. Unbeknownst to him, his route coincides with that of bands of stray dogs, whose struggles for survival and conflicts of honor culminate in disputes of the highest degree.

The interconnected stories of Imaginario de luna [Moon’s Imaginary] funnel history, chronicle and memory. The characters’ idiosyncrasies and varied narrators compel the reader to rethink the meaning of love, death and identity.
