Linguistics Alum Gives Water Conservation Tips in Bryan, OH

Ohio University alum Lou Pendleton ’85M was part of a presentation on Bryan (OH) Municipal Utilities and water issues in May, reports the ColumbusCEO website.

Pendleton has three master’s degrees from Ohio University, including an M.A. in Linguistics from the College of Arts & Sciences.

Lou graduated from Fairview High School and attended Kent State University. She received her three master’s degrees from Ohio University and taught English for a while. She joined the Peace Corps and was assigned to Jamaica. In 2000 she became the director of public relations for the local municipal utilities. …

Lou emphasized what can be done to conserve the water supply and offered tips on how to avoid groundwater contamination. She noted the department is proud to bring safe drinking water to the community.
