A letter to the editor in the Athens News proclaimed Ohio University’s Spring Literary Festival scored a major coup with writer.
“I am truly impressed. The Spring Literary Festival at Ohio University has somehow managed to persuade one of my favorite writers to come to Athens. Rebecca Solnit will be giving a talk this Thursday at noon in Walter Hall and a reading Friday evening at Baker Center Theater,” wrote Patrick McGee, attorney at law.
“To all of my friends and acquaintances who have participated in various causes or movements to make this world a better place, I urge you to read her writings and to attend her presentations. Her message is astounding and will revitalize you like a hot sauna on a winter’s night.”
