“Paula kept the faculty at 350 West State Street afloat. She managed our grants, looked out for our graduate students and listened to us whine. We will miss her everyday,” says Dr. Marcia Kieliszewski, Professor of Chemistry.

Chemistry staff member Collin Arocho adds, “I was fortunate enough to work closely with Paula for more than a decade, her strength and willingness to help is something I greatly admire. She served four departments (Economics, Psychology, Physics & Astronomy, and Chemistry & Biochemistry) and eight chairmen with a high level of devotion and integrity.”

Hale also was active in her community. She was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church and was the founder of Paula’s Hope.

Funeral services will be held at 2:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, in the McArthur United Methodist Church, 200 S. Market St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating.
