Class of 2017: Top Steubenville High Student to Major in Pre-Law, Political Science

Brandon M.  Llewellyn, one of the top 10 graduating seniors from Steubenville High School is headed to Ohio University to major in pre-law and political science, reports the Herald Star on May 16.

Brandon M.  Llewellyn is the son of Lynnett and Ted Gorman of Steubenville and Chris Llewellyn of Mingo Junction. He has a 3.808 GPA and will graduate in the University Scholars Program with an Ohio Honors Diploma and Award of Merit. He was a four-year member of the Beta and Key clubs, serving as vice president. He was class vice president for four years. He was a two-year member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club. He was a three-year letter winner in wrestling and received all district/all OVAC honors in soccer for two years. He received the West Point Leadership Award and was the DAR essay winner. He is a three-year recipient of an academic letter. He received the Wells Academy Staff, Key Club Nininger and OHSAA Scholar Athlete awards. He volunteers with the United Way of Jefferson county and Salvation Army and coaches youth basketball. He plans to attend Ohio University majoring in pre law/political science.
